I haven't been quilting but I've been checking out some of the quilting
books to get ideas.
Hope others have been getting quilts ready for winter.

I have at last taken my 'stuff' to continue my version of dear Jane, out
of my cupboard. It is now sitting next to my sewing machine; and I am
planning to get some sewing done this week. I have only one appointment
- tomorrow morning - then I'll be free to get back to it. No doubt it
will be a slow start: I seem to have lost some mental and physical
dexterity (age-related no doubt). However, I truly hope it will come back.

I hope you find something that tickles your fancy in your books Barbara.

I have one quilt on the frame that I’m hand quilting, one quilt at the longarmers, and I’m piecing a RWB wheelchair lap quilt.

Sounding dumb, but my mind isn’t working too good today BUT----
what’s a RWB lap quilt? I sometimes make the lap quilts for a nursing home, but not lately ‘cause I’ve been busy with other things.

Yesterday, I sandwiched and basted the Hawaiian applique wall quilt that
I'm making. I'll hand quilt it. No deadlines on that one. I also have
my Christmas tree wall hanging to sandwich, baste, and machine quilt.
That one has to get done before Christmas as it will serve as our
Christmas tree this year. Last year I had a bad asthma flare-up over
Christmas and realized I am probably allergic to Christmas trees so no
more real trees for me. This is the tree I'm making:

Very nice I would be proud to hang that on my wall.

Not doing any sewing right now, I have cataracts coming the right one
the worse, but they cannot be done until they are ready.

Busy though planning an "Evening at Home" Thursday next week Nov 6th.
It is our 60th Diamond wedding anniversary.
Hugs

Don't think I have seen a quilted tree like that design, but I sure do like
it with the different shades of green.

I've always got something on the cutting table or under the needle.
Here's the latest finish:

Hello All,
I just started a Churn Dash quilt, getting it cut out and still lack one fabric which I intend to get a JoAnn's Fabrics this Monday. It has a paisley stripe design which means I will have to cut the borders lengthwise. Beige background blocks with turquoise Churn Dash and paisley block between and also will use pale yellow sashing.

I have been trying for ages, to decide what to do with a small piece of
fabric with realistic cat pictures on it (12 different ones in size and
type + a piece with fifteen squares printed with sayings about cats.
I haven't started putting it together, but I have decided what to do:
stick the cat pictures to bondaweb, cut them out and stick them to some
dark green fabric; make attic windows, with two more green fabrics, of
the cat sayings and make the blocks the same size as one another. Only
thing left to decide - which I can't do until I have them all done - is
how exactly to put them together.
