I will be going to Ottawa in ten days, and would love to hear about any
must-stop LQS's in the city. Also going to Cobourg for a wedding while in
Ontario, so anything in between is fair game too. All you Ottawa area
quilters, please help me support my fabric habit!

There's one in Peterburough, though I can't remember the name of it. (No one
would let me go in it!!! I had access to FAR too much money when we saw it.)
It seemed to be well stocked

I'm in the same boat, so here's what I've found from searching the web
and asking around.
A great link is : http://www.ottawa.servpro.ca/testlist.php?compType=Fabric%20and%20Textile&sub=40519|Quilting
. It lists most of the quilting stores in Ottawa.
There is a textile museum out in Almonte that is having a feedsack
exhibit. Its page is

Hi Renee,
I used to live in Kanata, which is just outside Ottawa and there is a great
one there called "The running stitch" Another one I liked was called "The
country quilter" and was just outside of Ottawa in Richmond. I know there is
another one called quilts and seams, which is 313 Richmond road.
Hope this helps. Great place to visit.

Hi Renee,

I'm in Kanata, just outside Ottawa and we have a couple of good shops. The
Running Stitch which is at the corner of Castlefrank and Hazeldean Rd.
Also, Sew For It which is at the corner of Moodie Dr. and Robertson Rd.
(Robertson Rd. turns into Hazeldean Rd.). There are also a couple of other
shops in the area, Heirloom Quilts in Stittsville and The Country Quilter in
Richmond.

If you are passing by Kingston on the 401, there are two shops quite close
together. Take the exit at Hwy 38, turn towards town, and there is the Perfect
Stitch on the right side past Home Depot, and there is also Quilter's Choice
along Progress Ave in the strip mall.
