I ate dinner at a Chinese buffet earlier. The food might be
"Americanized," but that is actually of little importance to me.

A long time ago I was eating at a Chinese buffet in, if I remember
correctly, Norfolk, VA. There was a man that was picking the beef out
of the beef and broccoli.

Well, I think if he wants just wants the meat and not the broccoli, what
he needs to go to someplace like Outback or Black Angus steakhouse.

Or even of he went to the Chinese buffet because his wife or children
wanted to go there, and he wanted to go to a steakhouse, I am pretty
sure that that restaurant had a "Mongolian barbecue" setup where you
could get meat, broccoli florets, bean sprouts, and whatever else you
want, then they stir-fry it for you. He could have gone to that and got
just the beef.

It is somewhat "rude" (I just cannot think of a better word) to leave
those people, such as myself, that happen to like the combination of
beef/broccoli with just broccoli, especially when there is the option of
getting just beef, which is apparently what he wanted.

Most people, including myself, probably prefer the beef, so it would not
be "as bad" if he were picking out the broccoli and leaving just the
beef, but I am pretty sure the "Mongolian BBQ" station had just broccoli
florets (every one I have been to has had them), so he had that option
as well if he wanted just the broccoli.

The E-mail associated with the account is a "spamcatcher" account that I
got to every couple of months to empty out, and anything sent to it will
not be seen for probably several months, if it is seen at all.

I have never understood people who do things like that either. Though I have eaten with a few people who engage in such picky buisness because they like the way the part they are eating comes out when cooked in a given dish, but they do not like the rest of it.
I generally dislike buffets in general because I am a vegetarian. However when we were traveling a bit for business we discovered that it you go to a Chinese restaurant and tell the waitstaff, tell chef Buddhist cuisine for 2 please. You get a ton of good food with no animal products in it.

Hello Brian and Night Mist,
Most of the Chinese type eating places are small in my town, so I pick out the pork or beef in any of these recipes because I do not eat either one. I love the fried rice but it does have small amounts of pork.

Well Sandy, we should go eat together because I eat about 2 tablespoons of
the beef or vegetables, but not the rice!
